Please check if your destination country has a travel risk rating “extreme” by using the following link: www.travelguard.com/corporate-travel/assistance-services/security-services and select the “Risk Map 2023”, and confirm the rating your target country.
For trips to the countries listed as “extreme”, it is mandatory to confirm insurance protection with AIG prior to the start of the travel. The insurer’s approval to insure a business trip to an extreme risk destination can depend on a limitation of cover or additional premium.
In case an employee is planning to an extreme risk destination, AIG should be notified at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the trip. AIG will ask for additional information, including further details regarding security measures in place for the trip.
